Carlisle chip shop serves up deep-fried Creme Eggs

First came the battered Mars bar, now a fish and chip shop has put a seasonal twist on this popular treat with Cadbury’s Creme Eggs.

Have your say

I see we've started catering for the Haute Cuisine of the scottish!

At last, some Haute Cuisine in Carlisle -all those people who for years have been saying that us Brits have terrible food must be eating their own words now :-S

I like them better as Cadbury's ice creme in lollies. The packs also last longer in the freezer. Nutrition for kids? Just bought Billy+Margot's nutritious Strawberry iced cream treats for dog's (that's canines who seem to better fed these days with a more balanced diet) from Dobbies... Taste is fantastic !

"Creme" Egg in Batter?

Strictly for the "hoi polloi"
never for
"La creme dela creme"

BUT if a hot creme egg attracts 20% VAT and a cold one not, maybe a few vulgar millionaires will soon be boasting that they had one for pudding in Number 10.

Regarding all the comments about obesity...a lot of peoples diets are shocking, but if kids ran around a bit more instead of playing on an x box it wouldn't be an issue. How many of our parents ate dripping & were whippet thin! Excercise is just as important.
