Survey to find business views on Cumbria brand
Published at 09:18, Thursday, 03 January 2013
RESEARCH is underway to assess how the county’s economy benefits from the ‘Cumbria’ and ‘Lake District’ brands.
Businesses across Cumbria are invited to complete an online survey.
The aim is to gather views about the importance of these brands to businesses and the benefits of using the ‘Cumbria’ and ‘Lake District’ names.
It will assess factors that affect business performance and the sensitivity of businesses to any changes.
The survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/cumbriabusiness.
The researchers say it should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and all responses will be treated in confidence. The deadline is Monday, January 7.
The work has been commissioned by Allerdale, Copeland and Cumbria County councils, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, Cumbria Tourism and the Lake District National Park Authority.
It is being carried out by DC Research in partnership with the Centre for Regional Economic Development at the University of Cumbria, and Red Research.
