Eden council renews services deal with Enterprise

Eden council has renewed its contract with Enterprise Managed Services, the company that runs Eden’s refuse collection, grounds maintenance, street cleaning and cemetery services.
The 10-year agreement took effect from April 1.
Councillor Mike Tonkin, Eden’s environment portfolio holder, said: “I am delighted that we will be able to maintain existing services at an affordable cost.
“Enterprise has been the incumbent contractor for 15 years and has worked hard with the council to ensure a value-for-money service. Residents should not notice any difference.”
Enterprise was confirmed as the successful contractor in December following almost a year of negotiation. The council says it chose to stay with Enterprise because the company’s bid promised to provide a high-quality service at an affordable cost.
Mike Cafferky, regional managing director for Enterprise, said: “The signing of this deal gives us the opportunity to build on our already impressive operational performance.”
