Goat's milk ice cream and gluten-free Cumberland sausage will be among the delicacies on show at a Cumbrian food event next week.

The 2012 Caterite Hotel and Catering Exhibition takes place at Rheged, Penrith, next Tuesday.

Exhibitors include Japanese food giant Nihon Shokken, Wigton’s Groovy Goat’s Ice Cream Company, and Shaw Meats, also of Wigton, which produces Cumbrian-made salami and chorizo.

The event runs from 10am to 5.30pm. To attend, call Caterite on 017687 76000.
