Lindsey Berry is down to the last 10 in the ‘outstanding host’ category of the eviivo awards. These celebrate the UK’s best B&Bs, guesthouses and independent small hotels.
Miss Berry, 34, has been running LakeSide House in Lake Road since 2010.
She said: “I’m over the moon to hear that my B&B has been selected as one of the finalists, and I’m really hoping we win. For us, it’s all about the customer and making sure they have the best possible experience, but it’s wonderful to know that we’ve been recognised for all the hard work that goes on.”
The judges said: “The way she has inspired her team to go above and beyond the confines of polite hosting provides a truly unforgettable experience for their guests.
“All guests are catered for and are provided with a holiday tailored to their individual needs, preferences or desires.”
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 18.
