Bovine TB confirmed on north Cumbrian farm

An outbreak of devastating bovine TB has been confirmed in the Brampton area.

The affected farm has been placed under restrictions when it comes to moving cattle.

Defra officials confirmed testing of animals on farms within a three kilometre radius will also be tested shortly.

Despite a number of cases of the animal disease being confirmed so far this year in the county, officials say Cumbria is still a low risk area.

The cause of an outbreak earlier this year in the west of the county is still under investigation.

Testing of farms in a 3km area of the affected farm, near Ravenglass, have all come back clear.

What faith do you have in rail services in Cumbria improving?

Every. Anything better than what we have currently is an improvement

None. There's little substance to what the Government is saying for the general passenger

It will get better - but only once old trains are taken off the tracks
