Two people have been arrested by police investigating the disappearance of an Annan man.

The body of Ian Carruthers, 30, was discovered by a dog walker in the early hours of last Friday, on the shores of Portling, Dalbeattie.

A 26-year-old Longtown man is facing drug supply allegations, while a 25-year-old woman is under suspicion of wasting police time.

They are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court today.
