A woman was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation following a house fire in Carlisle last night.
Firefighters were called to Baird Road, Harraby, about 7.50pm.
In total three crews, one from each of the city's fire stations and from Longtown, attended the incident.
Officers, two wearing breathing apparatus, used one hose reel jet to put out the fire.
Crews were at the scene for an hour.
Police officers were also asked to attend the scene.
The woman, 28, was taken to the city's Cumberland Infirmary.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious at this time, say police.
