After growing his waist-length dreadlocks for eight years Luke Henley will be shaving them all off for charity.
The 26-year-old, of Ash Grove, Whitehaven, will be dramatically transforming his look next month raising hundreds of pounds for West Cumbria Hospice at Home.
Luke said: "I don't think I've have had short hair for nine years. This really hasn't been an easy decision to make, but it's time for a change!"
He will be shaving his head at a party to be held on November 25. His girlfriend, Nikki Anderson, who is a community nurse, suggested he raise the money for Hospice at Home.
"I will be cutting off my 45 dreadlocks, then shaving my head with a razor all live on Facebook,'' he added. "The dreadlocks are really heavy when they get wet so it will take some getting used to when they gone."
