Mother Nature put on a dazzling display for Cumbria, as the Northern Lights lit up the county's skies.
The Aurora Borealis were visible on and off for much of last night, although some views were hampered by the bright moon.
Dozens of cars were seen on Caldbeck fells, as people rushed to the higher ground in a bid to catch a glimpse of the dazzling light display without risk of pollution.
