When Morrisons revealed this week that it had launched a foot long sausage roll, we had no choice than to ask Drew Sandelands to check it out.
Morrisons says the sausage roll is believed to be the largest in the UK, weighing in at nearly half a kilogram.
It has been launched, the firm says, after customers wanted a bigger version of the British classic and is available at Morrisons in Whitehaven.
Sue Wells, store manager at Morrisons Whitehaven said: “We sell hundreds of freshly baked sausage rolls a week but customers have asked for one that is even bigger. So we created this foot-long version. With the start of the football season approaching, we’re hoping it will be making its way to the top of the snack league table!”
