Work has begun this week to demolish Workington's old pool.
Demolition work began on the Moorclose swimming pool, which was next door to the leisure centre, today.
Flimby firm Ashcroft Construction are on site for the demolition, which will take a few days to complete.
The leisure centre and pool at Moorclose closed when Allerdale council opened the new £11.3 million leisure centre at The Cloffocks last year.
The council has spent £450,000 on the project to knock down the buildings and landscape the area.
