Police are appealing for help to trace a missing man from Carlisle.
Paul Dickinson, 47, was last seen leaving the accident and emergency department at the Cumberland Infirmary at around 5.30pm on Thursday.
He had attended the hospital for medical attention to a facial injury, but left before he could be treated.
Cumbria Police say they are concerned for his welfare.
Mr Dickinson is described as white, around six feet tall and of slim build.
He has short white hair and a white beard.
Mr Dickinson was last seen wearing a biege jacket and dark-coloured trousers.
Cumbria Police is urging anyone with information about Mr Dickinson's whereabouts to call them on 999.
