Two men who tried to kick their way into a flat in Longtown are being hunted by police.
The terrifying incident happened at 3.40pm on Thursday June 5 at the flats near the junction of Albert Street and Burn Street.
Police say the offenders tried to force entry to a top floor flat by kicking the door repeatedly, until the frame separated from the wall. The suspects are described as follows.
The first was Asian, about 25 years old and 6ft tall with distinctive thick black eyebrows.
He wore a navy shirt under a long sleeved black top. The second man was white, about 30 years old, and 5ft 10ins tall, with a slim build with shaved blonde hair.
He was wearing a light green T-shirt and sand coloured shorts.
