Two cyclists have been hurt in a crash - one of three on Cumbria's roads this morning.

The men were injured as they cycled on the A595 in west Cumbria.

The accident happened in Waberthwaite shortly after 8am.

A grey Peugeot 207, driven by a 54-year-old Millom man, was in collision with one of the pedal cycles, being ridden by a 47-year-old man who suffered minor injuries.

His bike then collided with another, which was being ridden by a 26-year-old Millom man.

He was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured collarbone.

Elsewhere, drivers on the M6 at Carlisle faced disruption following a two-car collision at junction 44 at around 8.30am.

No-one was hurt and the vehicles were moved onto the hard shoulder to allow traffic to flow freely again.

In the city there was disruption for drivers outside Austin Friars School at Etterby Scaur.

A collision between a Vauxhall Vivaro van and a Peugeot 107 happened just before 8am. There were no injuries.
