A traffic light was knocked over - and then fell onto a car - after being hit by an HGV in Carlisle.
Police were called to the incident at the junction of Shaddongate and Bridge Street, near Sainsbury's, at 10.35am.
A spokesman said that the HGV struck the railings and hit the traffic light, which then fell onto a nearby car.
Nobody was injured as a result of the incident but the driver of the HGV - a man in his 50s - was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary as a precaution.
Traffic was congested in the area while police dealt with the incident.
