THREE men from north Cumbria have been charged with drugs and money laundering offences.

Thirty-one-year-old Steven McNeil, of Burnrigg, Carlisle, John Proudfoot, 32, of Ravenstone Way in Carlisle and 19-year-old Daniel Kirk, of James Terrace, Low Row, near Brampton, have been charged with conspiracy to supply the class A drug cocaine and money laundering.

Jamie Tyler 25, of Parkers Mount, Kirby Moorside in North Yorkshire, is charged with the same offences.

The charges relate to money laundering and the supply of drugs between December 1, 2015 and February 29, 2016.

McNeil, Proudfoot and Kirk appeared at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday (April 4) for a plea and trial preparation hearing. They have been remanded in custody.

Tyler appeared before magistrates in Carlisle this morning and was bailed until April 25, when he will attend his plea and trial preparation hearing.

All four are expected to attend Carlisle Crown Court on June 13.
