A kaleidoscope of colour and pageantry is being sampled by the thousands who have travelled to the historic Lowther estate this weekend.
The Lowther Show, which has been favoured by royalty in the past when Prince Philip competed in the hotly-contested horse driving trials, plays a huge part in the county's summer calendar.
Today, two-legged visitors, many accompanied by their four-legged friends, are enjoying world-class sporting championships, demonstrations and family-inspired features like the Ye Olde Redtail falconry in the main arena.
While elsewhere, visitors are lining up to take in the dedicated BASC stand focusing on shooting and conservation, and a survival camp and craft.
The show is also featuring a range of culinary delights, arts, crafts, gundog events, as well as a beer festival.
And running alongside is the famous Lowther Horse Driving trials and the hound show, giving visitors the opportunity to learn about the many hunts and hounds in the county and beyond.
