The owners of family-run holiday lettings agency Heart of the Lakes have welcomed the third generation to the team.

Dominic Jackson will work alongside dad Chris and grandparents Sue and Peter at the firm, which has branches in Keswick and Ambleside.

Established in 1975, Heart of the Lakes has more than 300 holiday cottages throughout the Lake District and employs 27 people.

Dominic will work full-time learning all aspects of the business.

He will run the company's social media and help with website development and content management.

He said: “I am excited and privileged to be the third generation to be joining the family business here at Heart of the Lakes.

"I have always looked up to my father and grandparents and consider them to be exceptionally motivated, intelligent people. I am very lucky to be working alongside them every day and I am looking forward to learning all aspects of the family business in time as my father did, starting with working as a member of the marketing team.”

Sue, a partner in the firm, said: "Peter and I are so pleased that Dominic has decided to come on board with us at Heart of the Lakes. He is already fitting in so well with the rest of the staff and making a valuable contribution alongside the whole team.

"We are a true family business and proud to have the third generation now involved. We wish Dom every success"
