ROCK tribute festival Reboot will return to Cumbria this summer for its second outing.

The initial acts for this one-day extravaganza have been confirmed, with the action set to take place at the Zebra Claims Stadium, in Workington, on Saturday July 1.

Gracing the stage this year will be Cumbria's own highly-rated Thin Lizzy tribute act, Five and Dangerous, and covers band Mojo Rising from Cockermouth.

In addition, acclaimed touring acts Guns Not Roses, The Jam’d, Kazabian and Flash – a tribute to Queen - will finish off the main stage line-up.

A second stage will play host to the best of Cumbria’s local music scene, with performances from acts from around the county.

Five and Dangerous There will be a bar, a number of food outlets and kids won’t be left out either, with family-friendly activities and entertainment on offer throughout the day, including a fairground, arts and crafts, giant board games and much more to be announced.

The one-day festival is organised by CN Events and supported by Allerdale Borough Council.

Marie Whitehead, director of CN Events, said: "We’re delighted to be working with Allerdale Borough Council and Workington Town Rugby Club to bring Reboot back in 2017.

"Last year’s event was a great success and the line-up this year is fantastic.

"It’s a really brilliant day out for the whole family and a chance to listen to some of the nation’s favourite music for a fraction of the cost of seeing the real thing."

The event runs from 1pm to 10pm, and tickets are available in advance online at www.cnevents.co.uk , as well as from The Carnegie Theatre, Derwent Park, and Times & Star Office, all in Workington, the Whitehaven News Office, and The Toy Shop, in Main Street, Cockermouth.

Adult early bird tickets are on sale until the end of March at last year’s price of £17.50. From April 1, prices will increase to £20 for adults, £10 for youths (10 to 17-year-olds) and all under-10s are admitted for free.
