Rail passengers using the West Coast Mainline could face some disruption this morning.
The line runs from Scotland, through Cumbrian stations Carlisle, Penrith and Oxenholme, onto London Euston.
Due to a safety inspection on a train between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central the southbound line towards London Euston is disrupted.
It means that services running through these stations, those from Cumbria are likely to, may be delayed by up to 25 minutes or diverted via Northampton.
The disruption was expected until 8.30am but was cleared about 8.10am.

On the northbound line people trying to get back to Cumbria from the London Euston direction are set to experience short delays between Lancaster and Oxenholme because of a points failure.
Virgin Trains says services running through these stations could be delayed by up to 10 minutes. That problem is expected to be resolved by 10am.
