An event which has been a staple of Cumbria's racing calendar for the last 25 years has been held for the final time.

Hundreds of people turned out to Heathfield, near Aspatria, today to give the Cumberland Point-to-Point race a fitting send-off.

It was first held in 1991 but will not be held at the location again after landowner Tim Brockbank has decided to sell the site his family currently own.

It is one of only two Point-to-Point race meets in Cumbria, the other being at Dalston.

Six races were on the card today.
