Police probe "suspicious" car fire in woods
Police are probing a "suspicious" car fire in the woods.
Firefighters were called out about 4.20pm this afternoon to reports of a vehicle fire in the Broughton Moor area.
On arrival at the scene the crews found a red estate car well alight in some woodland.
A fire service spokesperson said: "The cause of the fire is currently being treated as suspicious and anyone with any information is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Crews used one main jet to extinguish the fire.
