Cumbria Police has repeated its zero tolerance approach to domestic violence after two men were arrested.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault following an incident on Middlegate, Penrith, on Tuesday.
The victim, a 17-year-old woman who was known to the suspect, suffered no reported injuries.
Police also arrested a 59-year-old man from Fife on suspicion of common assault following an incident at Waterside Campsite, Pooley Bridge, on Tuesday.
The victim, a 57-year-old woman who was known to the man, suffered minor injuries.
Both men remain in custody at this time.
