Police were called to deal with a three-vehicle crash one of Cumbria's busiest roads today - and spotted another crash on their way.
Officers were sent to Warcop, east of Appleby, at 1.25pm to deal with the original collision on the A66.
No one was hurt in that collision and it was cleared by about 2.30pm.
However, on their way to the incident they noticed a separate collision.
A police spokesman said: "Police attending the scene also came across a second road traffic collision involving two cars."
That was recorded at 1.37pm and also involved no injuries.
Traffic was said to have been affected in the area while emergency services attended.
