The Parkhill Poets group working on their collective poetry
Two West Cumbrian poetry groups are joining forces to take their passion for words to a wider audience.
Solway Poetry People and Parkhill Poets will host a poetry supper at Culterham Hall, Mawbray, on October 6.
The event will give each group the chance to showcase its recently-published book, alongside an open mic session for people to share either their own poetry or their favourite pieces by other writers, and a light supper.
The event is the first event of its kind for the groups, which work together regularly to chat and create new verse.
