A mother-and daughter's photography project has impressed global businesses – including famous boot makers Hunter.

Rebecca Delin, owner of Photo Design Cumbria, says she's extremely proud of her 11-year-old daughter Phoebe who took it upon herself to approach companies while she was off sick from school.

Rebecca's photo from a recent shoot in woods at Cleator will now feature on the leading footwear company's website, social media sites, email campaigns and even in shops.

The success comes after Phoebe, a pupil at West Lakes Academy in Egremont, was rushed to hospital around a month ago with suspected appendicitis.

When she returned to her Whitehaven home, she decided she wanted to do something worthwhile and came up with the exciting idea.

She contacted businesses from all over the world to see if they could shoot their products and and within a week parcels were arriving with everything from sheepskin boots to candles.

On the back of the project, Phoebe decided to send the picture her mum had taken from a recent shoot of two-year-old Erin Thompson to Hunter.

Rebecca said: "Hunter said they loved it and asked permission to use it on social media channels, their website or in stores. We were thrilled."

Speaking about her daughter's product photography project, she said: "Phoebe really adores popular culture, interior design, makeup and fashion and had an idea that we could offer styling and photography services to businesses.

"I thought it would never work, however, because we had such a shock with her being rushed to Carlisle and we were so worried about her, we thought why not, it will keep our minds off the situation.

"I am really proud of her as she has inspired me. All her family is proud of her for being so positive and full of energy. As with many people she is a whizz on social media so with my help I encouraged her to follow the idea through. Within a day she was talking to businesses all around the world."

So far Rebecca and Phoebe have supplied more than 200 images to companies. And they are showing no signs of slowing down as they have products arriving this month and next from as far as Australia.
