Person hit by a train between Lancaster and Penrith
A person has been hit by a train between Lancaster and Penrith.
The tragedy means all lines between Lancaster and Carlisle were temporarily blocked, but they have now reopened.
Ongoing delays are still expected for some time, said National Rail.
