Staff at a travel and outdoors store are doing their bit to support a housing charity.

Mountain Warehouse, at Gretna Gateway Outlet Village, has donated more than £200 worth of unsellable stock, including jackets and trousers for ladies, men and children, to Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership.

Store manager Tracy Gibson said the team started contributing to the charity to reduce stock being wasted due to slight faults. It's the first time they've donated to charity this way and something staff hope to build on.

“This isn’t clothing that is unwearable, but items with imperfections that make them unsellable in store, such as faulty zips, pen marks, missing buttons and small tears,” she said.
