A picture of Prince Charles meeting Michael Gove in Cumbria is in the running for a regal accolade.

The image - captured by News & Star photographer Stuart Walker - is undoubtedly features a great moment.

And you can take part in a public vote to help make it a winner in the Royal Rota Photography Competition 2018.

Stuart captured the Environment Secretary bowing his head to meet the Prince of Wales as he visited Newton Rigg College's National Centre for the Uplands at Low Beckside Farm, Mugrisdale, in March.

The competition is organised by the News Media Association and open to photographers given close-quarters access to visits by the monarchy and to celebrate the best of royal photography.

Stuart's image is shortlisted the regional publication category and he is delighted to be there.

He said: "To be shortlisted among photographers who I consider to be among the best in the business - and at the top of their game - is a real honour.

"I always enjoy covering royal visits. Prince Charles is probably the member of the royal family who I've photographed most."

Among the others who have images in the wider competition are The Sun's legendary royal photographer Arthur Edwards and celebrated Getty Images photographer Chris Jackson.

The public vote currently underway will be judged which will then be judged by a panel of industry experts who will choose the winner.
