A walker was taken to hospital after a fall in the Lake District.
The man, in his 50s and from Cambridgeshire, fell about 20 to 30 feet while descending Sourmilk Ghyll above Buttermere around 8pm yesterday.
A passerby raised the alarm from The Fish inn at Buttermere and guided Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team to the casualty, who was accompanied by his son.
The team helped the man, who had suffered a torn lower leg muscle and superficial head wounds.
He was stretchered to an ambulance in the valley and taken to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.
