A lorry driver has died following a serious collision in Cumbria.
The one-vehicle accident, which saw a HGV crash into a hedgerow, happened on the A7 near Longtown at 6.10pm yesterday.
The 48-year-old male driver is thought to have suffered a medical episode.
Police said he was found to be unresponsive at the scene.
He was taken to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, where he died.
The HGV was travelling towards Longtown when the incident happened, near to Camelot Holiday Park.
The vehicle ended up in a hedgerow on the opposite side of the road.
The road was closed for four hours while the HGV was recovered and investigations carried out.
No other vehicles were involved.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 101.
