A man from the north east has been charged with robbery following an incident in Cockermouth.
Michael Ferguson, 28, of Weetslade Road, Cramlington, has been charged with four offences.
It follows on from an incident in Station Street on Wednesday. Cumbria Police has not given anymore details about what happened during incident.
However, the force says Ferguson has been charged with robbery, attempted robbery, assaulting a police constable and obstructing an officer.
Ferguson appeared before the magistrates’ court in Workington today where he was remanded in custody. He will appear at Carlisle Crown Court on October 22.
