A popular music festival has raised thousands of pounds for RNLI Silloth Lifeboat Station.
The Saddle Tramps Country and Western Club, which is part of the organisational team for the Stanwix Park Country Western Festival, has revealed it will be handing over a portion of the proceeds to the charity.
The majority of the money raised at the March festival, which includes proceeds from raffles and auctions during the event, will be donated to the lifeboat station in November.
The festival has been running since 2004, raising in the region of £45,000 for charities in that time.
The Saddle Tramps holds a country and western club at the Royal Scot on Langrigg Road, in Morton, Carlisle once a month.
*In a version of this article, which appeared in the print version of the News & Star , the headline incorrectly stated that £3,500 was being donated to Silloth Lifeboat station.
