A hotel is marking Saturday's National Burger Day with an epic chef's special.

The Kings Arms Hotel in Keswick has developed a huge burger that is available until next Wednesday.

It contains

  • 1lb beef
  • barbecue pulled pork
  • jalapeños
  • coleslaw
  • smoked bacon fritters
  • skinny fries
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • onion rings
  • Monterey Jack cheese
  • Kings Arms secret homemade sauce, all in a homemade seven-inch sesame seed bun.

It has been named Keswick's biggest burger by hotel bosses, who say it is a challenge for even the hungriest customer.

If that is not enough, or is someone prefers a sweeter dish, the hotel has also offers a dessert burger.

This includes a slice of chocolate brownie ice cream parfait for the burger, mango coulis for the mustard, strawberries and mint for the garnish and a sliced doughnut for the bun.

Garry Price, general manager, said: "We are well known for our popular burgers so we wanted to do something extra special for National Burger Day.

"I’ve done my research, found inspiration from programmes like Man v Food and then passed this on to our creative head chef to develop the idea further.

"It’ll be interesting to see if anyone can finish it all in one go."
