Traffic backed up along the Distington bypass
There are huge tailbacks in both directions of the A595 in Whitehaven this morning due to roadworks.
Work is being carried out at Brewery Brow, Parton, and is causing major problems.
Drivers are reporting sitting in queues for 45 minutes along the Loop Road and there are tailbacks along the whole length of the Distington by-pass to Lillyhall.
