GBH arrest after man hit by car in Carlisle
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a 24-year-old man was hit by a car in Carlisle last Saturday.
The victim sustained serious injuries after a car, believed to be a grey Volkswagen Polo, struck him in Baird Road around 11.40pm.
After the incident the driver sped off along Petteril Bank Road in the direction of London Road.
The vehicle will have sustained damage to its front end.
Officers are appealing for witnesses on 101.
