Firefighters from seven stations tackled a barn fire for five hours.
Firefighters from Carlisle east and west stations, Brampton, Wigton, Longtown, Lazonby and Penrith were scrambled to the fire at a farm near Aglionby.
The fire started in a barn, about 20m by 50m, storing straw and hay. It was noticed just after 3am in the morning on Saturday.
Using an aerial ladder, firefighters fought to contain the fire and stop it spreading to other nearby buildings. Crews were on scene until 8.30am.
Throughout Saturday, firefighters made regular checks on the barn.
