An elderly man needed to be resuscitated by medics after collapsing following cardiac arrest.
Paramedics and the Great North Air Ambulance Service were called to Keswick shortly before 12pm today to treat the man, who is believed to be in his 80s.
The patient was resuscitated and anaesthetised before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
He arrived in a critical condition.
