An Egremont drink driver has been jailed after being caught over four times the legal limit.
Lynne Herald, 40, was sentenced to 160 days imprisonment at West Cumbria Magistrates' Court earlier this month.
She was also convicted for driving a vehicle without insurance and while disqualified.
In May, a member of the public contacted police over suspicions Herald, of Beck Green, Egremont, had travelled to the town's Co-op store while under the influence.
The investigating officer said: "We want to highlight this case in order to get the message out there that driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is dangerous and will not be tolerated.
"Herald may have only travelled a relatively short distance, but it is only due to luck that there was no collision where someone could have been injured. The fact she is a repeat offender only further highlights her disregard for the law.
"We would like to thank the member of the public who contacted us in order to stop Herald from taking any further reckless behaviour.
"I would encourage other members of the public to report anyone who they suspect is driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as it can save lives."
