A man who was caught driving after taking a class A drug has appeared in court.
David Bleu Robinson, 39, drove a Suzuki Swift at Mere Beck, near Wath Brow, Cleator Moor, on May 26 with cocaine in his system.
He appeared before District Judge Gerald Chalk at West Cumbria Magistrates Court on Friday.
The court heard he had cocaine in his blood, along with benzoylecgonine, a metabolyte produced then the body breaks down the drug.
He admitted the offences - one relating to each of the two substances.
Robinson, of Woodville Park, Cockermouth, was banned from driving for 19 months.
He was also fined £200, £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
