A man who caused a crash while driving illegally then failed to stop or provide a breath sample to police has been banned from the roads.
Liam Curr was driving a Mercedes without a licence or insurance on July 28 when he caused an accident on his home street, Elizabeth Terrace, resulting in damage to three vehicles.
West Cumbria Magistrates Court heard that Curr, 25, failed to stop after the collision, which involved a Suzuki Grand Vitara, a Honda FRV and a BMW 1 Series.
He then failed to provide police with a specimen of breath for analysis.
Curr admitted the offences. He was banned from driving for 14 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £60 costs and a £30 surcharge.
In a separate case, Curr also admitted stealing a bank card and fraudulently using it to make a £4.60 payment.
He was fined £80 and told to pay £60 costs, a £30 surcharge and £4.60 compensation for those offences.
