A man who drove his car without insurance or a licence has been disqualified.
Maciej Jackowiak, 27, from Galloway Close in Maryport, admitted to both offences when he appeared at magistrates in Workington this morning.
Jackowiack told the court he purchased the car from a scrap yard for £300 in Branthwaite and had driven it back to his home where he was planning to make improvements to the vehicle before selling it on.
District judge Gerald Chalk disqualified him from driving for six months, fined him £300 and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £30 along with £85 costs.
