Drink-driver caught at nearly eight times legal limit
A motorist has been caught drink-driving at nearly eight times the legal limit.
Paul Hughes will be sentenced in a month's time after background reports are prepared.
At Dumfries Sheriff Court, the 33-year-old, of Burnside Cottages, Cummertrees, near Annan, admitted driving in excess of the drink limit, failing to keep his car under proper control and crashing down an embankment on the Annan to Langholm road in February.
