A cyclist was airlifted to hospital after falling and injuring herself.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called out to Brampton this morning to attend to the injured cyclist - a woman in her 30s.
She had fallen off her bike shortly before 10.30am and sustained serious neck and shoulder injuries.
However, her condition is not life-threatening.
She was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for treatment. She arrived in a stable condition.
