Cumbrian MP Tim Farron will be one of those debating the burning issues of the day on the BBC's flagship current affairs television programme, Question Time, tomorrow.

The former Liberal Democrat MP, who represents Westmorland and Lonsdale, will join MPs Nadhim Zahawi and Emily Thornberry, Scottish crime writer Val McDermid, and Sun columnist Rod Liddle on the panel.

The show, chaired by David Dimbleby, will be broadcast from Newcastle on BBC One at 10.45pm.

Mr Farron said: "Being on Question Time is always incredibly nerve-racking but it is a fantastic chance to debate the issues of the week.

"I'm looking forward to the show and the best part is not knowing what questions will be asked."
