It looks set to be a mostly dry, but rather chilly weekend for Cumbria.
Our region has avoided landing any of the weather warnings for snow and ice affecting large parts of the country but the days are still looking to turn colder.
Overnight on Friday, temperatures will drop to around 0°c, reaching as low as -3°c in some places.
There may be some isolated showers heading into Saturday morning, but for the most part it should be a dry and bright day with some sunshine. Temperatures will be at an average of 4°c throughout the day.
We may be in for wintry spells on Sunday, as light snow showers are expected on higher ground. Temperatures will hover around 3°c, but a brisk northerly wind will make it feel much colder.
