A screening of Murder on the Orient Express will take place later this month in memory of a West Cumbrian man.

Workington Derwent Rotary Club has organised the event, at the town's Plaza Cinemas, and dedicated it to Peter Inglis.

Rotarian Dr Inglis, 70, of Great Broughton, died in November.

The film showing, on Tuesday February 27 from 2pm, will raise funds for Workington RNLI and the Great North Air Ambulance.

Dr Inglis was a keen supporter of Workington RNLI and was the organisation's press officer for several years.

He was instrumental in helping secure funding for the Lifeboat Appeal, which raised over £160,000 towards the purchase of a new Shannon class all weather lifeboat for the west coast.

Tickets for the screening are £7. Call 01946 862566 or email chamdean@gmail.com to book tickets.
