A Carlisle man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, making threats to kill and criminal damage.
Stephen Paul Taylor, 52, of Pennine Way, Harraby, appeared before city magistrates this morning.
The charges relate to an incident at a property on Pennine Way at about 8pm on Friday. It is alleged he stabbed a 77-year-old man who required hospital treatment.
Taylor spoke only to confirm his name and address to the court.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at the crown court on August 14.
