Tony Lee Newlands, 31, faces two counts of raping a woman. He is also accused of a number of other sex offences.
Newlands, of Jubilee Road, Currock, Carlisle, is charged with engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, sexual touching and taking an indecent photograph or pseudo photo of a child.
No plea was entered when Newlands appeared before the magistrates’ court in Carlisle.
He was remanded in custody and the case adjourned to the city’s crown court, when it will be heard on June 6.
